Draft day is now behind us, and the NBA world has shifted their focus toward free agency. Many big name players are likely to find new homes this summer, while others are likely to stay put. Players can officially begin to sign with teams as of midnight on July 1st. Rumors of deals will start swarming in the following days though.
Expect to see who many teams are “zeroing in on” or “enamored with” before July 1st via Woj’s spoiler-filled Twitter. He and former colleague Shams (who has Woj’s old job) are bound to keep their petty war of “who can break/spoil the news first” going throughout the summer.
The status of many of these free agents will depend on where the bigger names like LeBron, Boogie, PG and others end up. Free agency might be a little stagnant at first since most teams will be waiting to see if they can land their star player(s) before making other moves. Regardless of how slow it starts though, expect this to be a summer full of big moves.
On the following pages are the rankings of the top 15 available players at each position, along with the chance that they leave their current team, and their most likely destination.
